Our Story

The story behind Gone Walkin begins on the north side of Chicago, where I grew up surrounded by the vibrant energy of the city and the love of animals. From a young age, I was fortunate to experience the deep connection that comes from having pets in the family. Whether it was walking my childhood dog along the busy streets of my neighborhood or helping friends and neighbors with their pets, I always knew that animals had a special place in my heart.

As I got older, I began to understand the challenges many pet owners face—especially in a bustling city like Chicago. The demands of city life, busy work schedules, and the fast pace of urban living sometimes made it difficult to give our pets the time and care they truly deserve. That’s when the idea for Gone Walkin started to take shape. I realized there was a need for a pet care service that wasn’t just about feeding or walking pets, but about offering them personalized, loving attention and creating meaningful connections with both pets and their owners.

I started small, offering dog walking services to neighbors in my community, and quickly saw the joy that a simple walk around the block could bring to a dog—and their owner. As more and more pet owners reached out for grooming, training, and wellness checks, I knew I had found my true calling. I wanted to build a service that reflected the values of my neighborhood—reliable, friendly, and deeply rooted in care and respect for others.

What started as a one-person operation grew into Gone Walkin, a pet care service where every pet is treated like family. Whether it's a stroll down Lincoln Avenue or a visit to the local park, we tailor our services to each pet’s individual needs, all while ensuring that pet owners have the peace of mind knowing their pets are in loving, capable hands.

Today, Gone Walkin is proud to serve the north side of Chicago and surrounding areas, continuing to provide top-quality pet care services with the same passion and dedication that started it all. We’ve expanded our team, but our core values remain the same—treating your pets with the same love and care we would give our own.
